A Day at Our Adult Day Center

As Grace Estates Adult Day Center opens up at 8 AM, the inviting smells of coffee and a warm breakfast greet the day. Our guests, whom we warmly refer to as friends, begin to arrive at the adult day care center between 8-10 AM. This is a special time dedicated to socializing over the morning news, coffee, or hot cocoa, and enjoying a nutritious breakfast together.

Our enriching activities kick off between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. The day's agenda is diverse, ranging from heartwarming interactions with the daycare children next door to educational outings to the local library. At Grace Estates, we ensure that our friends receive a varied and stimulating experience every day. Part of our morning routine at the adult day care includes orienting our friends to the current day, date, and their location within Grace Estates. This helps to ease their minds as they transition into the day's activities.

At 11:00 AM, on select days of the week, we are thrilled to offer "Limber Up with Laura," a movement session led by the skilled Laura from Powerback Rehab, accompanied by a morning snack to refuel.

Lunchtime at our adult day care center is from 12:00 to 12:30 PM, where we all gather for a delicious meal followed by a sweet dessert treat. Post-lunch is a time for rest or leisurely socializing until our 1:30 PM exercise session. Depending on the day, this might involve a light game of balloon volleyball or another gentle activity, especially if our friends are feeling a bit weary from the morning's excitement.

Another engaging activity is planned for 2:00 PM, along with an afternoon snack. Throughout the day, we encourage our friends at the adult day care to stay active by taking walks on our indoor or outdoor paths, offering a chance for gentle exercise and fresh air.

The day at Grace Estates Adult Day Center begins to wind down around 3:30 PM as our friends start to head home, full of new memories and experiences. By 5 PM, the center closes, but the sense of community and the joy of the day's interactions remain, ready to welcome our friends back the next day.
